Sydney Show Opportunity

Jamie McIntosh, from QLD, is coming down to Sydney to start a show tour in July 2010, on synthetic ice. He would like to audition skaters in Sydney very soon.

This is show skating so it's more about presentation and smiles :) but an Axel is preferable.

Anyone interested can give Jamie a call on 0419722067 or go to his website www.theatreonice.com.au. - go to 'employment opportunities' and email employ@theatreonice.com.au. Renumeration is generous.

Workshop News

South Australia's Thebarton club held an intensive workshop, for their skaters,13th & 14th of January 2010, involving 10 & a half hour days. Presenters were Robi Chalmers, Rodney Hocking and Michael Pasfield.

Oceania Development Camp Brisbane October 25th - 30th 2009

The ISU, ISA, APSA and State Associations have made possible a 3 year plan for the fast-tracking of younger skaters to reach Junior International level.

Boondall Ice Rink, in Queensland, was the perfect venue with the advantage of gymnasium and lecture areas. Skaters benifitted from a variety of coaches both nationally and internationally. Cynthia Ullmark from Canada headed a great team. Other on-ice presenters were Valentine from WA, Margaret Nicholls, George Galanis, Maureen Sumner and Michael Pasfield.
