News Sydney Show Opportunity Jamie McIntosh, from QLD, is coming down to Sydney to start a show tour in July 2010, on synthetic ice. He would like to audition skaters in Sydney very soon. This is show skating so it's more about presentation and smiles :) but an Axel is preferable. Workshop News South Australia's Thebarton club held an intensive workshop, for their skaters,13th & 14th of January 2010, involving 10 & a half hour days. Presenters were Robi Chalmers, Rodney Hocking and Michael Pasfield. Oceania Development Camp Brisbane October 25th - 30th 2009 The ISU, ISA, APSA and State Associations have made possible a 3 year plan for the fast-tracking of younger skaters to reach Junior International level. Boondall Ice Rink, in Queensland, was the perfect venue with the advantage of gymnasium and lecture areas. Skaters benifitted from a variety of coaches both nationally and internationally. Cynthia Ullmark from Canada headed a great team. Other on-ice presenters were Valentine from WA, Margaret Nicholls, George Galanis, Maureen Sumner and Michael Pasfield. Newsletters 2009 AGM APSA (NSW Div.)'s Annual General Meeting was held at Sports House, Homebush on Sat. the 30th May, 2009.

Re-registration with the Australian Sports Commission Re-registration for accreditation with the Australian Sports Commission happens every 4 years. Coaching opportunity The Warrina Ice Rink and Paradise Amateur Ice Figure Skating Club of Townsville are looking for a coach for aussie skate and figure skating lessons. In the meantime they are hoping to be able to bring a coach up to Townsville for a week to do private lessons and squads with their skaters.
