- Skating since childhood, Alma
Davenport was a world class skater, representing
the United States of America in World Competition
|
- Member US WORLD TEAM
(placing 9th at World Championships)
|
- During her amateur career,
she took proficiency tests, culminating in the Gold Medal
Test, which is the highest level attainable in ice
skating.
|
- Featured skater with
American Ice Show (Ice Follies)
|
- Alma studied all three areas
of figure skating, which are pair skating, solo free
skating and ice dancing.
|
|
|
- Has three Gold Medal Tests
in these areas, earned in the United States, in addition
to numerous gold medals earned in competitions.
|
|
|
- After competing for the
U.S.A. Alma was a featured pair skater with the American
Ice Show, Ice Follies and subsequently became a teaching
professional, first in the U.S.A. for 19 years and since
1989, at Macquarie Ice Rink in Sydney.
