Noble:
Paul Noble was the 'skating model' - tall, handsome and upstanding
he, indeed, was a model in his day.
Paul & his dog Jesper - January 2002
Born and bred in Sydney at Point Piper, he began skating
at the 'Ice Palais' at Moore Park at the ripe old age of 12. His first
coach was Felix Casper followed by Rhona Theill
then a short stint with the colourful Dawn O'Donnell led
to the 'prestigious' invitation to learn from Percy Wilson
&
Cubby Lyons.

In 1956, both he and Barbara McIntosh were
the inaugural winners of the Junior Pair Championship of NSW.
Paul made it clear to his coaches that he wanted to 'finish
on top' so he did that after winning the 'Treasurers Trophy', the major
singles event of the time.
In 1994 Paul was diagnosed with cancer but is now in remission.
He smiles and says, "it doesn't bother me. I just have another glass of
wine..."
