A youth‑led conversation on child safety in sport (online seminar)

What makes young athletes feel safe, respected and included in sport? Join Sport Integrity Australia for a youth-led conversation exploring the findings from the Hear Me Play: Youth perceptions of safety in sport report.
This special webinar will feature three current youth athlete panellists alongside a safeguarding expert:
Kate, junior football player and national referee academy member
Bec, former national level high jumper and current netball pathway athlete
Jaydon, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games athlete.
Our panellists will examine what safety in sport looks and feels like from a young person's perspective, the factors that influence whether young people speak up when something feels wrong, and the role adults play in creating safe and supportive sporting environments.
Participants will hear directly from young athletes about what they need from coaches, parents, administrators and sporting organisations to help foster trust, belonging and positive sporting experiences for all.
